CPS CHESS PROGRAM 













Do you like to teach chess?

Would you like to learn the skills to be able to teach a roomful of children to sit and concentrate on a game of chess for an hour? Does helping kids learn critical thinking skills, teaching them to distinguish good ideas from bad ones, interest you?

  

At Renaissance Knights, we work in Chicago and suburban classrooms teaching children the rules, discipline, strategy and etiquette of chess. Renaissance Knights is expanding and we need more teachers for both our urban and suburban chess classes!

  

Do you have what it takes to teach chess?

  

Qualifications

  • Experience with children.  Teachers & ex-teachers are urged to apply

  • Enjoy playing chess

  • Dependability

  • Fluency in English

  • Desire to learn proven techniques of teaching chess

HOURS

  • Before-school or After-school part time hours

compensation

  • Money: Excellent pay scale based on chess ability and prior teaching experience

  • Satisfaction: Enormous

equipment

Teachers will receive content and lessons that need to be covered in our comprehensive curriculum for Beginners, Intermediate or Advanced classes and we provide all required equipment for the classes
